Former SJGT player Zach Primavera, continues to make his mark on the college golf scene as he was named Player of the Year for his Central Alabama Trojan Golf Team. Primavera, who is from Lynn Haven, Fla., wrapped up his regular college golf season this weekend in Scottsboro, Alabama at the 8th Annual Goosepond Spring Fling, finishing tied for 14th after firing rounds of 75-73-72-220. Central Alabama finished 5th, 8 strokes off Darton Community College in the event that brought together the top 22 colleges from all over the United States. Individually, Primavera has enjoyed a very successful freshman year, qualifying for all nine regular season tournaments, earning All-Tournament Team honors seven times, capturing his first individual college win and led his team in scoring average with a 73.6. Primavera’s next three college tournaments will be the NJCAA Regional and District Championships in April, followed by the NJCAA National Championship in May. The Central Alabama Trojan Golf Team will go into the championship season with eight Top Fives, four wins and the number two ranked freshman team.
