Josh Klipstein of Norcross, Georgia and Lauren Court of Lawrenceville, Georgia were crowned as the overall champions of the Douglas Junior Classic. This was the first overall win for both golfers. The tournament was held at the par 72 Douglas Golf & Country Club in Douglas, Georgia. Excellent weather and exceptional course conditions were prevalent throughout the tournament.
Klipstein was steady with rounds of 72-71 to claim the Male 16-19 division. Hometown golfer Austin McNeill finished second in the division with 145(68-77). Brian Beringer of Macon, Georgia was third in the division with 71-77.
Court had rounds of 77 and 75 to take the Female 15-19 division. Tallahassee, Florida’s Callie Kitchens finished second in the division with 81-76. Taylor McGraw of Macon, Georgia rounded out the top three in the division with 84-77.
The Male 14-15 division went to Josh Turner of Hazlehurst, Georgia. Turner fired 71-80 to take the title. Garrett Marschke of Suwanee, Georgia and Stephen Hill of Evans, Georgia tied for second with 152 totals. Marschke won the scorecard playoff for second, while Hill claimed third.
Hickory, North Carolina native Roland Morris took the Male 12-13 division with 78-74. Second place went to Campbell Fisher of Suwanee, Georgia (75-80). Ryan Stachler of Alpharetta, Georgia took third (79-80).
Kayley Marschke of Suwanee was the winner of the Female 12-14 division with 81-84. Sarah Harrison of Martinez, Georgia won a scorecard playoff for second place over Katie Dalton of Vidalia, Georgia. Harrison and Dalton had 184 totals.
